Bermondsey Gospel Choir

Truly Blessed

They're a group of four young teenage girls that have been singing for the Lord and leading worship at Wandsworth New Covenant Church under Pastor Patricia Roach.

They have known each other for most of their lives and have decided to use their talents to sing for the Lord.

These four Zalika, Shanaya, Esther and Abigail posses a very unique voice and together they present an amazing experience under the anointing of God.

Harp of David

"It is without doubt that Harp of David are currently one of UK's most prized Gospel asset.

Since their debut in 2009, Harp of David has with a unique blend of traditional gospel, world music, pop sensibilities and contemporary worship carved a niche and breathed life into what some critics had thought was dry barren land when referring to support for Gospel music in UK.

God is using HOD as they are fondly called to De-populate hell by winning souls through anointed songs to the kingdom of God."
...and many more

It’s going to be an amazing time and it is a sure place to be.

Presented by New Covenant Church Wandsworth in collaboration with Arm of Hope Charity.

Aaron T Aaron Tells his own story

Aaron T Aaron is one of the latest gospel Artist praising God with his vocal cord.

Aaron was born in the City of Ibadan in Nigeria into a devoted Christian family, his parent were leaders of praise & worship before they became Pastors, obviously this played an important role in Aaron's joining the choir at the early stage of his life.

At some point Aaron began to lead praise & worship himself and later move to England.

Listen to Aaron T Aaron and be inspired, his recently release single;
"Your Name Be Praise" was composed and recorded on his mobile phone while he was in a road traffic for about three hours, his submissiveness to Holy Spirit must have filled his heart with a song of praise at a time that he could have been cursing, fraustrated and stressed out.

Well, check out Aaron's own introduction.

Your Name be Praise video is exceptionally good, Praise God!
Aaron recount that none of these would have happened if the Lord had not been on his side and the outcome of these wonderful song and video is a direct testimony to the calling of God upon his life.

Who is Nneka?

My First Encounter.

Sometime last year 2009 a colleague of mine decided to increase the volume of her iPod at lunch time and as we listened to her lovely collection of playlist there was a particular sound/track that caught my attention and i was prompted by this to enquire further but her pronunciation of the artist name with her British ascent sounded like "knicker", anyway while i was still baffled about the name i've just heard we carried on listening to the melodious sound though i wasn't paying attention to the lyrics.

Just as i was about to exit the dining, i asked her to jot down the name of the artist, so that i can Google it or get a download version for myself, surprisingly the name written on the piece of paper was Nneka, i wasn't expecting a name that i can relate with or familiar with being an African myself, honestly, i wasn't expecting Nneka Egbuna, until then i thought was up to date.

I have been keen since then to opt my interest in African hidden talents, some of them like Nneka have even become a global star without so many Africans following their development.
Nneka is better in introducing herself than anybody.

Nneka Egbuna was born in Nigeria and relocated to Germany when she was only nineteen years of age to pursue a career in singing along side a degree in Anthropology. On getting to Germany the singer has transform the word of soul/hip hop music with her powerful soulful voice, she may be petite in stature but she definitely has a high rating, her music career has been influenced by the greats and legend like Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Nina Simone, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Mobb Deep.

Nneka is passionately connected to her route, some of her songs have powerful political statements, she highlighted the plight of the Ogoni people in Nigeria and her voice cries for social justice and equality.

Recently on a CNN interview granted by Nneka, the singer commented "music isn't just about music - it's a call for change". Nneka has also been a front runner in the campaign for people to exercise their voting right in the forth coming Nigerian Election. There is a lot to this young talented lady that is yet to manifest.

Nneka may have discovered her passion in music by accident, she even admitted in one of her interviews that "she slipped into it" meaning she definitely had her eyes opened ha! ha!,
jokes apart, her transformation has also been influenced by her journey in Europe and her music celebrate these diversity.

Nneka music career has been on the rise since the release of her debut EP, "The Uncomfortable Truth" and in 2009 she won the best African Act Award at the UK's Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards.

Watch this space, there are more incredible things to come from her.
